A Facebook page? For advertising or something? Cool.

Nah, advertising the page would need money - it's a fan-page, for whoever want to join.

Well... I hardly know anyone who has an account on there, and I know I'd not do much with it... I'm not too much of a social guy, anyways...

Ehh, I've never been too interested in that kind of thing anyways. And I dunno if I'll even have a lot of time for it, I have been busy lately.

Too bad - although that would help our MMF generation to be updated on Facebook.

The way F.L. and Spe feel about Facebook seems to be reflective of the world's opinion on Facebook. My recent observations suggest that Facebook is (finally!) dying. In place of Facebook, I present you with the alternative of Google+.

Any reason for being against Facebook?

Actually, I was one of the first to attempt to show Facebook for what it really is. Of course, this was at a time when Facebook was popular, so I was branded asocial and categorised with those religious fundamentalists who predicted the end of the world by running through the centre of town screaming "THE END IS NEIGH. YOU HAVE ALL CONDEMNED YOURSELF TO THE FIREY DEPTHS OF HELL". To be fair, though, that's pretty much what I did to convince people that facebook is bad; just replace the word "Hell" with "Unemployment".
I always suggested two main reasons against the use of Facebook.
1) Facebook has too many security vulnerabilities.
It is bad enough putting minimum information about yourself on Facebook, but people post their entire lives on there! I never trusted Facebook not to have major security vulnerabilities and/or not to give out information to companies and advertising agencies. It's far too easy to get information on someone (personal information, or embarrassing information) from Facebook.
I illustrate this with an entire imaging board which many of you may have heard of: /b/. Have any of you browsed /b/? Although I will refrain from commenting on the type of person who uses it (for the sake of anyone here who still has faith in humanity), they are extremely capable at tracking down individuals, finding (for instance) where they live or what school they attend, or even their name. With this much knowledge, they can ruin their life. Only a few days ago, someone on /b/ was insulted by some "alpha-male candy-ass" [wordfilters are currently in effect to remove certain profanities. I'm sure you can guess which that was]. In response, they hacked their Facebook profile, and invited thousands of people (many who were fellow /b/tards who wanted to be in on the action) to an event which the person had organised. Humerous, perhaps, and I will admit there is a certain moral system in place in /b/ (even if they deny one being present, there almost certainly is) which seems to only enable them to attack those who are deemed to deserve it. This is, however, beside the point: they were able to get ahold of a basic piece of information (the person's name) and hack into their Facebook profile - this contains the person's entire life; imagine how much information they could have gotten their hands on about that person!
Even though they do only target those deemed to deserve it, you can't deny that illustrates the security problems with Facebook. Doing so would be like suggesting that the numerous Saw scenarios set up by Jigsaw don't hurt, because he only targets those who have commited numerous moral crimes.
2) Procrastination is cultivated and amplified via Facebook.
I almost need not explain this one. The internet contains within it enough methods of procrastinating already (personally, I suffer from Wikipedia, Twitter and ProBoards). Facebook, it would seem for many people, takes up more time than all other procrastination techniques combined. The inefficiency caused by Facebook is massive, and the loss of capita for the country and time for the individual in which a person could be learning a new skill or enriching their knowledge or acquiring new life experiences is disastrously detrimental. Still, I need not further this, I'm sure most would be quite aware of the time they spend on Facebook without it being broken down.
Those are my two fundamental reasons. Other, smaller ones, have built up over time (such as these Facebook games, certain applications which are rather revealing and socially can cause grievances, and so on), however these remain my main issues with Facebook.
tl;dr - hurrdurr facebook is bad it has loads of security probelms and people hax it and spend so much time on it when they could be doin other stuff like working.

^ |That. Need I say more? Ugh, I DO need to say more, or else I'll be 'spamming'... Fine then, I agree. Like, for instance, instead of looking at pictures of people you've never seen and never will see, or reading about how some guy is sad because his dog died when he was 12, you could be doing something productive... Like playing video games!! (Yes, I am joking about that last part for anyone who didn't catch it.) And anyways, I can socialize here on MMF.

Precisely! I'm glad we're in agreement. In hindsight, though, that post was very long. I have a tendancy to waffle, sorry. :3
I do like your examples, though. But video games can be useful! :3 Okami has been teaching me Japanese folklore, for instance. I just love Okami.
