Well and about DP, I decided to quit it and start my own forum since the members was threatening each others like crap!
When I wanted to start my thing-thing comics again, they started yelling: "WTF is this crap!?"
Then it only gave me the taste to never come back there. It's not that nice! Of course they have the people and it's pretty active, but it's not like here! In here, we care to each other!

By the way, F.L. mentioned something very important, and is that there in DP is a messy hell which is not our type and we won't make it there - I only lasted a couple of years there and then decided to quit it. And in here, we care about each other a lot!  And also, we know a lot about each other, and that's what we would need - alongside activity here is not bad, actually |

Were you banned, Fadi? Permanently? I thought you only received a warning for over-critical posts. I certainly don't remember any sort of ban directed towards you in the Bans and Warnings thread.
Then again, half of the bans which took place during those times weren't listed on there because of... well, You Know Who. Most of the original crew were banned at one point. :3

I'm unsure as to his name. I believe he was referred to (by anyone who didn't refer to him as "Faggot" [edit: a.k.a. no one]) as Sev, but I'm unsure.
Having browsed through DP again, and after a good half-hour of me being in complete hysterics because of how brilliant, non-serious, moronic and hilarious it is, I can't find any trace of him. I think they've removed all remnants of his very existence from the forum.

I don't think he changed his name. I wasn't looking at usernames, but for the logon name. I would recognise his logon name if I saw it...
I assume the entire account has been wiped from existence during one of Mikhail's purges. :3 Thankfully, I think mine is still intact. Not that I still go on there, but I'm just proud it's survived.

I'll admit, I rather enjoyed it. But when Frenesis left (Frreeeeennn! I always saw him as my mentor... ;- , and Icoshee (Ahh, Ico. He was brilliant. :3) and Artemis too (-everyone- loved Arty, I don't know why he went. And I don't even mean Platonic love. >:3), it just couldn't ever be the same. Still, the way I look at DP as a whole is that it's a different approach to forums (societies). They like the idea of the members having more liberties and freedoms than here, I would say. So, you have flaming and trolling and swearing and all sorts of things like that. :3 Members can throw insults at each other and never take each other seriously (unless if they're admins :3). I always liked the idea that people don't have to take each other seriously. But it doesn't work for everyone. :3 And, of course, more liberties means less security, and you have the periods of oppression and of pure spam and of inactivity and of threatened deletion by ProBoards. :3 |
